who are we?
The main conributors are me, Carol Fox; my husband Peter; Dave, and John and Eileen. We all work for Prudent Plus Limited and kudos to them for letting us create this site under their umbrella.
What's our mission?
Our mission is as straightforward as a clear stretch of motorway: to empower (what a modern word that is!), engage, and entertain UK residents over the age of 30. We believe that turning 30 is just the start of life's great adventure, and we're here to make sure that adventure is as rich and rewarding as possible. How did over30.co.uk come to life?
Let's wind the clock back a bit. over30.co.uk was dreamt up over a cuppa by a group of wotkmates who realised that most online content seemed tailored for a younger crowd. They wondered, "What about us?" – the over-30s who still feel youthful at heart but might be at a different stage in life compared to the twenty-somethings. Fast forward through months of brainstorming, planning, and a fair bit of tea-drinking, and over30.co.uk was born. It's been a labour of love, shaped by the lives and experiences of those it aims to serve.
Who makes up the over30.co.uk team?
Our team is as varied as a British weather forecast. We've got a writer who can spin a yarn as well as she can dissect the latest budget announcement. A tech wizard who ensure the site runs smoother than a new car. A designer who make sure everything looks spiffing. Then there's me, trying to keep the whole thing together. And let's not forget the heart of our operation – all our friends and workmates who keep the ideas flowing. Each one of us is over 30 (some of us well over; you can't beat experience combined with youthfulness!) and passionate about building a community that reflects the best of life post-30.
